Summertime is all about getting out and having fun, so I’m going to tell you some fun and healthy summer snacks recipes. These are easy to prepare and taste good. Let’s start! 🙂
1. Fruit On A Stick.
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened,
1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme,
3 to 4 tablespoons milk,
Melon and kiwifruit, cut into bite-size pieces.
Mix cream cheese, marshmallow creme and milk until smooth. Thread fruit on wooden skewers. Serve with dip. Yield: 1-1/2 cups dip. Enjoy!
2. Peanut Butter Banana Bites.
Cut banana into chunks, spread peanut butter all over with spoon, roll around in crushed whole grain cereal (cheerios, grape nuts, Kashi). I used Kashi Sunshine Honey whole grain squares. Stick a pretzel stick into the banana bite and enjoy. This would also be great with melted chocolate for a healthy dessert. Enjoy!
3. Strawberry-Kiwi Smoothie.
1 1/4 cups cold apple juice,
1 ripe banana, sliced,
1 kiwifruit, sliced,
5 frozen strawberries,
1 1/2 teaspoons honey.
In a blender, combine the juice, banana, kiwifruit, strawberries, and honey. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
